Challenges

Create the interior design of a brand-new 94-apartment expansion – phase 5 of the complex; maintain visual harmony with the existing facilities; respond to the specific lifestyle needs and interests of retirees in the Mauricie community.

Solution

Previously, A2 was involved in designing the common areas and apartments for phase 3 and 4 of this complex, and therefore had established a thorough understanding of the unique cultural and lifestyle preferences of retirees in the Mauricie community. Accordingly, the design of the new apartments emphasizes the priorities of these active retirees – relaxed, open-style living, bright, spacious room with easy circulation, and an elegant yet casual social atmosphere.

Results

Phase 5 strikes a perfect balance: contemporary design within a landmark historical site; beautiful, comfortable apartments; and modern social and recreational facilities offering a convivial and secure atmosphere.
